[Hiring] Subcontract Program Manager @BAE Systems

Role Description

• Oversee all supply base ramp activities for assigned suppliers.
• Manage the execution of subcontracts for funding of suppliers to ensure they can meet BAE Systems delivery rates.
• Partner with Supply Chain Planning, General Procurement and Subcontracts to ensure the supply base is well prepared for increases in production rates.
• Validate suppliers’ current capacity and abilities to meet BAE Systems long term production rates.
• Author, manage and influence the creation of long-term pricing agreements with the supply base.
• Participate and support Supply Chain Risk Management activities within the PGSS product line.
• Support Dual sourcing activities remaining aligned to production programs long term strategies.

Qualifications

• Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel approximately 10-15% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
• Experience in Supply Chain Planning, Subcontracts & Supply Chain Management.
• Strong demonstrated negotiation skills and strategies.
• Experience in new business capture to include proposals.
• Experience developing long-term strategies and tactical plans to achieve enterprise objectives.
• Successful, proven record of leading and managing multi-discipline project teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship building, leading through influence, and the ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) at all levels.
• Ability to develop plans specifying goals, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
• Ability to communicate with senior management regarding supply base performance (cost / schedule / resources / risk) as well as performance to financial objectives.
• Experience communicating externally either with customers or suppliers.
• Technical and business acumen.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Operations (preferred).
• Master’s Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration (preferred).
• Prior experience in Planning, General Procurement, & Subcontracts (preferred).
• Experience leading cross-functional teams Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) (preferred).
• Program Management Institute’s (PMI) Program Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
• Demonstrated Risk Management experience (preferred).
• Experience with information systems such as Oracle (preferred).
• Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures with associated knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) (preferred).
• Significant experience managing the development and compliance of requirements (SOWs, specifications, contractual terms, etc.) (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills to handle many overlapping projects simultaneously (preferred).
