[Hiring] Product Operations Specialist @Comfrt

Today - Comfrt is hiring a remote Product Operations Specialist. πŸ’Έ Salary: unspecified πŸ“Location: USA

Role Description

The Product Operations Specialist keeps every SKU defined the same way across Comfrt's systems, ensuring that orders, inventory, and reporting all refer to the same product. This role sits within Operations and owns SKU mapping verification, the connections between systems that carry product data, and the upkeep and troubleshooting that keep those connections working.

Responsibilities

  • SKU Mapping
    • Confirm and verify that every SKU is correctly mapped across the ERP, e-commerce, warehouse, and marketplace systems.
    • Maintain SKU mapping tables and cross-reference files, resolving duplicate, retired, bundled, or variant SKUs.
    • Validate new product and variant setups against the mapping standards before they go live.
    • Work with the Master Data Analyst to apply golden-record rules and naming conventions to product data.
  • Cross-System Connections
    • Assist in maintaining the data connections between systems that exchange product, pricing, and inventory data.
    • Configure field mappings, sync rules, and transformations in integration tools, documenting each connection.
    • Support Ecommerce Team on any needs during product launch setup.
    • Partner with BSA Team on new integrations and changes to existing ones.
    • Test changes in a sandbox before they reach production and confirm that data arrives correctly downstream.
  • Upkeep and Monitoring
    • Monitor sync jobs, integration logs, and error queues on a set schedule.
    • Run routine data checks for missing attributes, mismatched SKUs, and stale records, correcting them before they affect orders.
    • Keep integration documentation, mapping logic, and runbooks current.
  • Troubleshooting
    • Investigate and resolve product data issues, failed syncs, and mismatched inventory or order records.
    • Find root causes, not just symptoms, and log recurring issues for source fixes.
    • Escalate platform or infrastructure problems to BSA or Data Engineering with clear reproduction steps and impact.
    • Communicate status and resolution timelines to Operations leadership and affected teams.
  • Process and Reporting
    • Build and maintain reports on SKU data health, sync reliability, and open issues.
    • Document standard operating procedures for SKU setup, mapping changes, and integration support.
    • Recommend process improvements to the Senior Manager of Operations based on recurring issues and data trends.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in product operations, data operations, supply chain operations, or a similar role involving product data.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining SKU or item master data in an ERP or inventory system, such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Fulfil.
  • Practical experience with integration or ETL tools such as Celigo & Boomi, including field mapping and troubleshooting sync failures.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and data cleanup.
  • Working knowledge of e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and their product catalog structure.
  • Ability to read logs, trace data through connected systems, and identify root causes.
  • Clear written communication for SOPs, runbooks, and issue updates.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage several open issues without close supervision.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with MDM concepts such as golden records, entity matching, and data governance.
  • Experience with SQL or basic scripting for data checks.
  • Experience with a Product Information Management (PIM) tool.
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.

What Success Looks Like in One Year

  • SKU mapping accuracy at or above 99% across connected systems, measured by monthly audits.
  • Sync failures resolved within 1 business day, with recurring failures traced to a permanent fix.
  • Zero unmapped SKUs at product launch.
  • Documentation for every active integration and SOP kept current on a quarterly review cycle.

Benefits

  • Be part of a purpose-driven company that’s shaping the future of comfort and mental wellness.
  • Work in a supportive, creative environment where your ideas and growth are valued.
  • Enjoy Comfrt benefits such as generous paid time off, company-covered health insurance, 5% 401k match, and discounts on all Comfrt products!
  • Join a passionate team making an impact on exciting projects, all while enjoying the flexibility and collaborative support of a fully remote environment.
