Role Description

This role plays a key part in improving access to quality care for residents and supporting staff to feel more competent, confident, and fulfilled in their work.

• As a Virtual Nurse, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting a cluster of 10 residential aged care homes.
• Led by a Nurse Practitioner, your team will function as a virtual extension of the RACH care team.
• Work closely with local staff to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery.
• Build strong relationships with the homes you support, understanding the needs of residents and their families.
• Familiarize yourself with the local regions and service systems that surround them.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years full-time equivalent recent nursing experience.
• At least 2 years in aged care nursing within residential aged care homes (RACH).
• Comfortable conducting clinical assessments and communicating through virtual mediums.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Technological literacy is key.
• Bachelor degree in Nursing.
• Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• Experience in virtual care (ideally).
• Formal qualifications or expertise in a specialty area (e.g., complex wound care, pressure care, continence management, chronic pain, end-of-life care, and dementia care) (ideally).
