Role Description

Part-time position (30 or 32 hours) with day hours available. Every fourth weekend and holiday rotation.

• Uses the nursing process and established protocols to assess patient needs telephonically.
• Determines appropriate level of care, provides education, and establishes a plan of care.
• Escalates and collaborates with on-call providers when additional guidance is needed.
• Prioritizes patient interactions by acuity and need.
• Implements strategies to reduce patient risk and increase safety.
• Supports shared governance activities to improve processes and patient outcomes.
• Participates in department quality/process improvement initiatives.
• Engages in professional development and attends required meetings/educational programs.
• Demonstrates effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Promotes a culture of safety and reports patient safety events in a timely manner.
• Applies ethical decision-making and participates as an effective member of the care team.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
• Accurately maintains and updates clinical records according to guidelines.
• Participates in team meetings and special projects as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
• Associate's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Nursing.
• Typically requires 2+ years' of acute care experience, preferably within the last 4 years.

• Proficient in technology and documentation techniques.
• Required stable and secure internet connection.
• Must have functional vision, touch, speech, and hearing.
• Ability to lift 15 lbs.
