Role Description

Join us for an extraordinary career as a Travel Flight Nurse with Air Methods. With a schedule of 14 days on and 14 days off, working 24-hour shifts, you'll deliver top-notch critical care wherever the need arises. Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Assessment, triage, and treatment of critical patients.
• Ensuring safe transport to appropriate medical facilities.
• Maintaining thorough patient care documentation.
• Participating in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
• Attending pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings.
• Assisting in pre-mission liftoff checklist and pilot support.
• Participating in patient and referring institution follow-up.
• Acting as a preceptor for new employees and students.
• Participating in Air Methods CBS meetings and projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last 5 years.
• Pre-hospital experience a plus.
• Flight experience a plus for full-time travel nursing.

Requirements

• New York State Nursing License is REQUIRED.
• Must reside at least 3 hours drivetime from Harris, NY.
• Must reside greater than 4 hours from the assigned location.
• Maintain flexibility of assigned base location based on company needs.
• Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling > 50%.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
