[Hiring] Transcriptionist @Insight Medical Imaging

Role Description

Insight is currently seeking a Transcriptionist to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a full time, remote position, with a schedule of Sunday to Thursday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Applicants must live in Alberta to be considered for this position.

• Provide overall medical transcription support to the department, accurately transcribing medical dictations.
• Organize and prioritize assigned work and schedule time to accommodate work demands.
• Communicate with radiologists and departments.
• Provide peer support.
• Communicate in a positive and cooperative manner.
• Handle difficult situations in a sensitive and proactive manner.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma required.
• Must reside in Alberta.
• Successful completion of a recognized program in Medical Transcription required.
• 1 to 2 years' recent experience and knowledge of diagnostic imaging processes preferred.
• Reliable at-home internet connection.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Exceptional grammar, syntax, editing and punctuation skills.
• Attention to detail, concern for accuracy and critical thinking.
• Superior listening skills, focus and concentration.
• General knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures, billing codes, and desktop applications (e.g. Word, Windows).
• Keyboarding proficiency, ability to type 75+ words per minute.
• Ability to complete large volumes of work under deadlines.
• Commitment to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards.
