Assessment:
-
Conduct admission and ongoing assessment of patient’s condition.
-
Provide nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
-
Notify the doctor of changes in assessment that require attention.
-
Reassess patients at appropriate intervals following interventions.
-
Adjust nursing care to meet patient's emerging and changing needs.

Planning:
-
Design, direct, evaluate, and document the plan of care.
-
Work with other clinical disciplines to meet specialized patient care and discharge needs.
-
Formulate a plan of care and daily goals considering the individualized needs of the patient.
-
Implementation:
-
Prepare patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic studies.

Know patients' conditions and report significant changes to Charge Nurse/Team Leader, and/or physician.

Implement patient safety initiatives and protocols including medication safety practices.
-
Report Skills:
-
Give and receive reports using the Bedside Shift Report including family participation.
-
Provide an accurate and comprehensive report to the oncoming shift.
-
Delegate tasks as needed to provide continuity of care according to coworker's experience, abilities, and the patient's acuity.

Environment & Patient Safety:
-
Maintain patient and work environment to maximize safe working space.
-
Promptly remove all used and soiled equipment, linen, etc. to the appropriate location.
-
Incorporate national and organizational goals to improve quality, patient safety, and satisfaction.
-
Report all patient safety and hazard concerns immediately.

Supplies:
-
Maintain accurate documentation of charges and supplies used to provide patient care through cost containment measures.
Qualifications
-
Associate Of Nursing, upon hire or
-
1-3 years At least one (1) year of RN experience, upon hire
-
Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
-
Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days
