Role Description

This is a remote position. OpenLoop is seeking a Sleep Specialist to review, diagnose, and establish treatment plans for our patients based on their at-home sleep study results. We hire clinical care professionals who deliver medical care using telemedicine modalities including video, phone, connected devices, and asynchronous messages (chat/email).

Physicians function as independent staff clinicians within an interdisciplinary care team. They are responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making in accordance with industry standards of care, clinical practice guidelines, and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Review sleep questionnaire results to validate at-home sleep study order
• Review at-home sleep study results to diagnose clinical conditions
• Interface with patient via telemedicine for initial and follow-up sleep study reviews
• Create a prescription and letter of medical necessity for CPAP, oral appliance, or surgery as needed
• Abide by established clinical protocols

Qualifications

• Active board certification in Sleep Medicine or Pulmonology
• Active and unrestricted license in 20+ states
• Three years of relevant clinical experience in Sleep Medicine is required!
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Requirements

• This is a 1099 contract position
• Minimum 20 hours per week required
• Majority asynchronous care
• Some weekend availability required
