Role Description
Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a strategic, clinically driven Telehealth Clinical Services Director to lead and scale the national telehealth clinical program, expanding access to high-quality, compassionate care for individuals with substance use disorders and mental health conditions. This role partners with executive leadership, enterprise clinical teams, and cross-functional departments to drive clinical quality, consistency, and program performance at scale, with a focus on operational execution and measurable outcomes.
The Telehealth Clinical Services Director oversees telehealth clinical services, ensuring the delivery of compliant, effective behavioral health treatment through virtual programming. In this role, you will lead and develop clinical staff, uphold clinical standards, manage risk, and ensure consistent care delivery across the program.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the clinical strategy and execution of Banyan’s national telehealth program

Drive standardization of clinical care delivery across markets to ensure quality and consistency

Evaluate clinical outcomes, regulatory requirements, and program performance to inform decision-making

Translate data and operational insights into scalable improvements

Oversee telehealth clinical operations across multiple states
-
Own performance across clinical quality, patient engagement, and outcomes
-
Identify performance gaps and implement solutions across programs

Build and refine processes that support scalable, consistent care delivery
-
Monitor utilization review workflows and level-of-care alignment
-
Supervise and develop telehealth supervisors, therapists, and clinical staff
-
Strengthen clinical supervision practices to support high-performing teams
-
Lead multidisciplinary clinical meetings aligned with Banyan’s clinical model

Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of clinical staff
-
Ensure adherence to regulatory, accreditation, and payer standards
-
Oversee documentation quality, chart audits, and compliance initiatives

Manage clinical risk, including high-acuity cases and incident review

Ensure alignment with Banyan’s clinical philosophy and standards of care

Partner with Admissions, Utilization Review, Compliance, IT, and Business Intelligence teams

Collaborate with executive leadership to align telehealth strategy with enterprise priorities
-
Communicate performance insights, risks, and recommendations to leadership

Ensure clinical strategies are executable within operational realities
Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field

Active clinical licensure required (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent); Clinical Supervisor credential preferred where applicable
-
Minimum 3 years of clinical leadership or supervision experience

Minimum 5 years of clinical behavioral health experience, including substance use and/or mental health treatment

Experience leading or supporting multi-site, multi-state, or scaled clinical telehealth operations strongly preferred

Strong understanding of regulatory and state standards, clinical compliance, and behavioral health treatment models

Demonstrated ability to build, standardize, or improve clinical programs across teams or locations

Proven ability to translate clinical strategy into operational execution and measurable results
-
Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop clinical staff
