[Hiring] Surgical Technologist Clinical Content Reviewer @Elsevier

Role Description

We are seeking Certified Surgical Technologists to serve as Subject Matter Experts for an AI-driven learning platform supporting surgical technology learners.

• Review AI-generated content related to surgical anatomy, instrumentation, sterile technique and aseptic practice, sterile processing, surgical pharmacology, patient positioning, procedural steps, and patient safety.
• Rate accuracy, completeness, and alignment with professional standards.
• Provide expert commentary to refine educational content for surgical technology learners.
• Complete asynchronous evaluations within defined timelines (5 days to 2 weeks).
• Participate in periodic evaluation cycles with potential for ad-hoc assignments.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through the NBSTSA, in good standing.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited surgical technology program (or military surgical technology training program accepted by NBSTSA).
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience.

Requirements

• Experience in precepting, clinical instruction, or training (preferred).
• Experience across a variety of surgical specialties (preferred).
• Additional credential such as CSFA (Certified Surgical First Assistant) (preferred).

Benefits

• 5–15 hours/week (Minimum quarterly participation).
• Duration: 1 year contract (subject to annual renewal) starting ASAP.
• Compensation: $55/hr.
• Contract Structure: W2 position contracted through a 3rd party agency.
