[Hiring] Social Worker-Counselor-Licensed Independent @Southcoast Health

Role Description

Under the direction of the Manager of Social Work, performs a wide variety of duties in the hospital setting providing behavioral health and complex care management services to Southcoast Health patients across the hospital system. Duties include:

• Conducting behavioral health assessments
• Providing behavioral health treatment including individual and family psychotherapy utilizing brief treatment modalities
• Serving as a consultant and resource to hospital staff in the management and treatment of behavioral health disorders
• Collaborating and coordinating with complex/chronic care management and longitudinal community support services

Qualifications

• A Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited college or university
• Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required
• Demonstrated ability to perform as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Experience with electronic medical record documentation preferred
• BLS certification is required within three (3) months of hire
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Requirements

• Hours: 40hrs
• Shift: Day shift; 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA

Compensation

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range: USD $35.70 - USD $50.24 /Hr.
