Role Description
The Senior Health Economics & Outcomes Research Specialist designs and executes real-world evidence studies using healthcare data to support evidence generation, market access, and business strategy across the Pain Interventions portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities

Design and conduct real-world evidence studies using claims, electronic health record, and linked datasets.

Perform retrospective analyses, including data preparation, cohort selection, dataset linkage, and outcome creation.

Develop study protocols, statistical code, and analysis plans.

Interpret results and contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, reports, and conference presentations.

Create data visualizations and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Develop and maintain reusable coding frameworks and analytical standards.

Review and validate analytical code to ensure quality and reproducibility.

Apply therapeutic area knowledge to evidence planning and study design.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years OR master's degree with 2+ years of experience.

Proficiency in SAS.
Requirements
-
Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Economics, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Data Science, or Computer Science (preferred).

Experience analyzing administrative claims or electronic health record databases (preferred).

Experience with R or Python (preferred).

Experience preparing study reports, manuscripts, presentations, or data visualizations (preferred).

Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and National Drug Code (NDC) coding systems (preferred).

Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, health insurance, hospital, or health system industries (preferred).

Experience with predictive modeling, econometrics, or machine learning using healthcare data (preferred).

Experience supporting peer-reviewed publications and scientific conference presentations (preferred).

Experience working in a matrixed organization (preferred).

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. Β§ 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
