[Hiring] Senior Clinical Application Analyst @Wellstar Health System

Role Description

The Application Analyst in the Wellstar Information Technology department is responsible for the support, optimization and enhancement of clinical and revenue cycle applications across the Wellstar Health System, with a primary focus on Epic. Reporting to the Manager of Clinical and Revenue Cycle Applications, this intermediate-level role requires proven experience in building, configuring and supporting Healthcare Information Technology systems to meet the evolving needs of clinical and operational stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues
• Delivering high-quality end-user support
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new features, workflows and enhancements
• Providing application and technical support within a defined service line
• Contributing to design, build, testing and ongoing maintenance activities
• Prioritizing end-user efficiency and experience in application enhancements
• Serving as the primary support for complex systems or contributing to larger projects

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years healthcare experience
• Minimum of three years Epic and/or associated application build experience
• Certification in two or more relevant applications for Epic positions
• Preferably one year of project management experience
• Lean certification preferred or must be obtained upon hiring
• Human factors design awareness
• Commitment to Agile methodologies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Health Administration, Nursing, Medical Technology, or related field preferred
• All certifications required upon hire unless otherwise stated
• For Epic positions: Certification in 2 or more modules, including 1 for assigned application area
• For third-party application positions: Associated system certification/training required upon hire
• Must obtain Project Management training within 1 year
• Epic Usability Training required upon hire or within 180 days
• Wellstar or other Lean training and certification required upon hire or within 180 days
