[Hiring] Scientific Director @Ashfield MedComms

Role Description

Ashfield MedComms is looking for a senior level director to lead the scientific team and provide strategic account oversight in the publication space, particularly focusing on Oncology. This is a client-facing role that requires:

• Directing client strategy
• Staff mentoring and management
• Leading scientific teams in content creation
• Partnering with VPs of scientific and client services and managing director in business development

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the scientific team responsible for delivery of a full range of strategic publication focus
• Leading and managing accounts to ensure the creation of high quality, accurate medical/scientific content
• Developing and growing publication work in partnership with VPs of scientific and client services and managing directors
• Identifying and developing strategic and tactical business recommendations relevant to client strategy and marketplace needs
• Developing, leading, and facilitating key strategy workshops
• Articulating scientific and therapeutic information in Oncology
• Fostering innovation and collaboration across Ashfield to position the agency as a leader in publication work

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, MD with 10+ years of relevant medical communications experience
• In-depth understanding of publication oncology work
• Track record of successful scientific leadership across several clients/therapeutic categories
• US launch experience required; Global experience is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing staff/direct reports (potentially based across multiple locations)

Requirements

• Some travel will be required
• This position is open to candidates looking for a fully remote or hybrid opportunity based in the United States (east coast preferred)
