[Hiring] Scientific Advisor, Medical Information @Revance

Role Description

Reporting to the Director, Medical Information, the Scientific Advisor will be responsible for:

• The day-to-day handling of medical information inquiries and intake of adverse event and product complaint reports from Revance customers including clinicians and patients.
• Ensuring the medical accuracy and references of all materials as the Medical Affairs reviewer on the Medical and Promotional Review Committees.
• Responding to unsolicited requests for medical information or scientific exchange with HCPs.
• Contributing to the writing and updating of standard response letters, FAQs, and any other response documents to handle unsolicited requests for medical information.
• Being a key member of the review processes for both medical and commercial customer-facing materials.
• Involvement in other projects supporting Medical Affairs operations.

The successful candidate will exhibit outstanding professional oral and written communication skills along with a high degree of scientific and industry expertise. They will demonstrate a high degree of familiarity with regulatory guidelines and industry standards related to medical information and scientific engagement.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, PharmD, DO, or other recognized doctorate level education in life sciences or related discipline.
• 2-5 years of medical information or medical affairs experience in a life science, pharmaceutical, or medical device company.
• Medical writing experience.
• Experience serving as a medical information reviewer or medical reviewer on a promotional review committee.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Requirements

• Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
• Experience with aesthetics, dermatology, plastic surgery, neuroscience, or and/or other relevant specialties.
• Engaging in scientific discussions with Healthcare Providers e.g., medical information booth and call center.
• Ability to confidently present complex material in both formal and informal settings.
• Working knowledge of drug development, regulatory approval processes, clinical trial methodologies, and guidelines.
• Ability to execute effective literature searches.
• Proficient with a variety of software solutions that allow for virtual communication.
• Team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships.
• Very detail oriented.
• Ability to develop project strategies and execute project details.
• Highly developed problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to effectively learn, teach, and convey clinical and non-clinical technical information.
• Ability to work independently and within teams.
• Strong organizational skills.
