Role Description

As a Remote Area Nurse you will:

• Assess patient needs
• Administer treatments such as wound care
• Promote health initiatives
• Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe practices
• Contribute to quality improvement efforts
• Enhance comprehensive patient care and professional development

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated clinical experience in a primary care or similar setting
• An understanding of the issues affecting the health and well-being of Aboriginal people in Central Australia including the social determinants of health
• Commitment to integrating Aboriginal values in practice
• The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Exceptional clinical skills
• A proactive adaptable attitude
• A genuine respect for diverse patient backgrounds
• Hold a current Manual NT license and ability or willingness to learn to safely drive a large 4WD vehicle

Requirements

• Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to, live and work in remote locations
