Role Description

We have an exciting and diverse opportunity for a Rehabilitation Consultant from an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor or Psychologist discipline to join our growing team on a Contractor basis.

To be successful in this role, you must have your own proprietary limited ABN.

You will be assisting individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client-centered approach, focusing on health and well-being. You’ll be managing a portfolio of cases including:

• Workers Compensation
• Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB)
• Workplace Health & Safety Assessments

This role is located in Tasmania. We are open to candidates based in Melbourne who are interested in a FIFO arrangement to support service delivery across Tasmania.

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you are an integral piece of someone’s recovery, supporting them through their rehab journey and guiding them through the process:

• Assisting individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client-centered approach.
• Managing a portfolio of cases including Workcover TAS and MAIB claims.
• Undertaking assessments such as initial needs assessments, worksite assessments, and vocational assessments.
• Collaborating and liaising with employers, medical and other allied health professionals.
• Identifying barriers preventing clients from returning to work.
• Documenting case notes as part of your reporting, applying your clinical judgement to support and guide your clients.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Establishing and upholding a standard of excellence while driving regional growth.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Occupational Rehabilitation Consulting experience.
• Workcover TAS Legislative knowledge.
• Injury Management Coordinator (IMC) Registration with WorkSafe Tasmania qualification preferred but not essential.
• A university degree in Occupational Therapy, Rehab Counselling, Psychology, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiology.
• AHPRA/ASORC/ESSA accreditation and a passion for helping people.
• Hold a full driver’s license and access to own car.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
