Role Description

As a Respiratory Therapist on our Respiratory Support Team, you will be the clinical backbone of Verse’s home respiratory program. You will ensure every patient on CPAP, BiPAP, ventilation, or oxygen is set up correctly, monitored closely, and documented to the standard payors require, so patients get safe, effective therapy without delay.

Day to day, you will:

• Serve as a clinical SME for home respiratory, maintaining clinical content within SOPs for CPAP, BiPAP/RAD, invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and oxygen.
• Provide clinical oversight and escalation, delivering patient instruction, verifying device setup, and monitoring treatment effectiveness.
• Review remote monitoring data, interpreting device data across manufacturers and device types.
• Track adherence and payor compliance, monitoring adherence against payor requirements and documenting results in a payor-ready format.
• Support medical necessity documentation, verifying device settings match prescribed orders and reviewing oxygen qualifying testing.
• Cover high-acuity and life-sustaining equipment, reviewing alarm and event logs, and participating in rotating after-hours on-call coverage.
• Serve as clinical liaison to external partners and vendors.

Qualifications

• CRT required, RRT strongly preferred.
• Active RT licensure in at least one of our target states (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee), with willingness to obtain others.
• Home or DME respiratory experience in at least two of PAP, RAD, home ventilation (including NIV), and oxygen.
• Working knowledge of Medicare DMEPOS coverage criteria and familiarity with Medicare Advantage authorization and documentation requirements.
• Experience interpreting device data from multiple RAD and ventilator manufacturers.
• Comfortable working in a remote/telehealth care delivery model.
• A clear, concise communicator who can explain clinical reasoning to non-clinical teammates and patients.
• A habit of writing things down, building SOPs and training material.
• Comfort with ambiguity and speed.
