Role Description

The eICU center Registered Nurse is a member of a collaborative team who is responsible for providing continuous vigilance and tele-nursing to a diverse population of critically ill adults across multiple ICUs at various hospitals. The role includes:

• Proactive, continuous monitoring, prevention, early intervention, and ongoing care with the goal of decreasing ICU related morbidity and mortality.
• Utilizing evidenced based care and clinical decision support to guide practice.
• Acting as a patient advocate and resource to inpatient nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED
• Active RN License in the state of IL
• Experience: Three years of recent experience as a staff nurse in adult critical care.
• One to two years of past experience in a role which required effective communication and collaboration with medical/health care professionals.
• Licensure/Certification: Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Provider. Certification or completion within 90 days of hire.
• Other Skills/Knowledge:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Proficiency with Windows based computer applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
• Experience: Five years of recent experience as a staff nurse in the specialty field of adult critical care (Preferred)
• Licensure/Certification: Current CCRN or CCRNe certification (Preferred)

Benefits

• Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour.
• This position includes a $4.00/hr shift differential and a stackable $3.25/hr weekend differential.
• Actual pay is based on years of licensure.
• This is an Hourly position.
