[Hiring] Referral Specialist @Dignity Health Medical Group

Role Description

As our Referral Specialist, you will ensure that patients receive timely and coordinated care. You will act as the primary point of contact for patients and referring providers, playing a key role in managing complex scheduling, verifying essential insurance information, and facilitating the authorization process.

• Manage a high volume of incoming calls and patient registrations.
• Meticulously verify demographics and insurance coverage to ensure billing accuracy.
• Resolve pre-certification, registration, and case-related concerns prior to a patient's appointment.
• Interact with patients, insurance carriers, and various internal departments.
• Complete the referral process for a patient's ancillary, consultation, radiology, or lab visit, including:
• Checking insurance coverage.
• Sending approval and receiving confirmation.
• Scheduling appointments.
• Notifying patients of progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of administrative experience in a medical setting strongly preferred.

Requirements

• High School Graduate.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in a Medical Office or other healthcare environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Windows-based programs.
