Role Description

The Referral and Authorization specialist is responsible for ensuring patients have been cleared for specialty service office visits; obtaining and issuing referrals for ancillary, consult, radiology or lab visits; receiving approvals for medication formularies, durable medical equipment, home health care and other items or services needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years healthcare experience with patient registration, scheduling, referrals and prior authorization - must be outside of pharmacy referrals
• Call Center and MA experience is a plus!
• Medical terminology, Insurance verification, insurance benefit knowledge, referral processing and authorization experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• MUST BE LOCATED IN ARIZONA OR NEVADA

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Las Vegas, NV.
• The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
