Position: Radiologist (MD) — Medical Imaging AI Annotation & Evaluation

Type: Contract

Compensation: $200–$400/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 15+ hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated reads against clinical standards, identifying hallucinated findings and unsupported certainty.
• Develop structured finding labels by reading studies and annotating discrete findings such as presence, location, and severity.
• Author reference reports to establish ground truth for AI model evaluation.
• Interpret imaging-based clinical cases, documenting diagnostic reasoning step by step.
• Create grading criteria and guidelines to differentiate excellent reads from acceptable ones.
• Construct difficult-case questions to challenge and improve AI model reasoning.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• MD or DO with completed diagnostic radiology residency.
• Board certification or board-eligible with residency complete.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in your country of practice.
• 2+ years post-residency reading independently.
• High-volume independent reads experience.
• Command of structured reporting standards (BI-RADS, LI-RADS, Lung-RADS, TI-RADS).
• Written and spoken English fluency.
• Minimum 15 hours per week availability.
• Preferred:
• Fellowship subspecialty training in neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, body/abdominal, chest, breast, or pediatric imaging.
• U.S. licensure and board certification.
• Experience in medical image annotation, AI evaluation, or dataset curation.
• Teaching, rubric design, or resident assessment experience.
• Published research or sustained technical writing (please link a sample).
