Role Description

This is a part time or full time role working within our Pain and Medication Management Program located at 605 Discovery Street in Victoria BC.

As a Psychologist within our CBI Rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for the provision of clinical services at our clinic for patients referred for psychology services. This will include:

• Consultation
• Evaluation
• Assessment
• Diagnoses
• Interventions
• Monitoring of progress/outcomes
• Discharge of individuals participating in a pain management program

The caseload consists of clients who are either referred by a physician, a third-party payer or a public agency.

Your Role:

• Have relevant clinical practice experience, including clinical experience in the assessment and provision of appropriate intervention with a variety of psychological conditions with co-existent chronic pain.
• Be able to work both autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Be efficient and responsive in the provision of required clinical documentation.
• Demonstrate reliability, maturity, flexibility and a strong work ethic.
• Membership in the Association of Psychologists of BC (BCPA) is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Hold a doctoral or equivalent graduate degree in Psychology.
• Have extensive education, training and supervision in psychology practice.
• Be currently registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
• Maintain individual professional liability/malpractice insurance.
