Role Description

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) at Better U plays an integral role in providing comprehensive mental health care services. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting psychiatric assessments
• Prescribing psychedelic therapies
• Offering therapeutic interventions while adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
• Contributing to the success of our program and the well-being of our patients

Qualifications

• State licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a DEA license
• Desire to be an integral part of a team dedicated to transforming the mental health care system
• Ability to rapidly establish deep rapport with a significant variety of people while maintaining a supportive environment
• Experience with adversity and an active commitment to personal growth
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to determine diagnosis and treatment plans
• Monitor clients' functioning and treatment outcomes
• Prescribe psychedelic therapies and offer therapeutic interventions
• Understanding of the physical and psychological effects of psychedelics
• Deep compassion and empathy for others
• Knowledge of HIPAA and a background in working with confidential information
• Willingness to learn and a growth mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Participate in professional development and maintain required licensure and certification
• Ability and tools to work remotely
• Passion for alternative healing methods
• Experience with weight loss & integrative medicine

Requirements

• A high degree of empathy and understanding of human behavior
• One year of experience providing services as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Active DEA license
