[Hiring] Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner @Blackbird Health

Role Description

Blackbird Health is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary team in a weekend-only role. You will deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults. We are looking for clinicians licensed in PA, VA, NJ, or MD—or those willing to become licensed in these states with full financial sponsorship from Blackbird.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• PMHNP-BC certification.
• At least one year of independent psychiatric experience working under licensure.
• Active license in PA, VA, NJ, or MD (OR a current license in another state and a willingness to obtain these via Blackbird sponsorship).
• DEA license and State Prescriptive Authority.
• Must be available for weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM ET.

Requirements

• Passionate about transforming behavioral health for youth.
• Experience working with children/adolescents as a PMHNP; practiced independently at the top of your scope for at least one year.
• Excel at building trust with families and providing deep patient education.
• Thrive in team-based environments alongside therapists and interdisciplinary colleagues.
• Proficient in Google Suite, EMR systems, and virtual platforms for telehealth.

• Predictable Income: A guaranteed base salary with the ability to earn more by taking on additional patients.
• W-2 Stability: Part-time employment with full benefits—healthcare, 401(k), and generous paid time off.
• Total Earning Potential: Up to $175,000+ annually.
• Base Salary: $72,500 for the guaranteed 20-hour/week schedule.
• Additional Earnings: Earn $100 per clinical hour for additional patients beyond your base caseload.
