Role Description

Pathways to Wellness is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to support our clinical team in Clarksville, TN. This virtual position supports telehealth sessions to clients across Tennessee, with in-person sessions available at our physical locations in Clarksville and Cordova.

The ideal candidate is dedicated to improving mental health outcomes, comfortable with virtual service delivery, and skilled in providing trauma-informed, patient-centered psychiatric care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management
• Provide clinical services virtually to support the Clarksville practice location
• Deliver telehealth appointments using our secure virtual platform, Tebra
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress
• Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, case managers, and support staff
• Maintain accurate, timely, and regulatory-compliant documentation
• Follow state and federal practice guidelines, including controlled substance regulations
• Participate in clinical meetings and case reviews as needed

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Tennessee APRN license - required
• Board Certified PMHNP-BC (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) – required
• Active, unrestricted DEA license – required
• One (1) year minimum post-license experience as a PMHNP
• Continuing Education Credits to meet regulatory and licensure requirements
• Experience conducting psychiatric assessments and medication management
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Experience with behavioral health CPT and ICD10 codes
• Proficient in medical documentation compliant with health plans, federal and state requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient mental health or integrated care settings
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills

• In-person services are available if candidate desires to see a patient occasionally in-person
