[Hiring] Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner @Psych-Alliance

Role Description

An outpatient behavioral health practice is seeking a PMHNP to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults through telehealth. The PMHNP will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary care team to deliver individualized treatment for:

• Depression
• Anxiety
• ADHD
• Bipolar disorder
• PTSD
• Other mental health concerns

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including clinical histories, mental status examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and risk assessments.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and progress.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications within applicable scope of practice and practice requirements.
• Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, laboratory results, and potential drug interactions.
• Provide follow-up visits, patient education, safety planning, and referrals for psychotherapy or additional services.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, primary care providers, and other clinicians.
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and participate in clinical case reviews.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program.
• Current PMHNP-BC certification.
• Active, unrestricted California license.
• California NP furnishing number and active DEA registration, or ability to obtain required prescribing credentials before starting.
• Current BLS certification.
• Two or more years of psychiatric nurse practitioner experience preferred.
• Telepsychiatry experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to collaborate with a remote care team.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Requirements

• Full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities available.

Compensation

• $165,000 - $200,000 annually for full-time employment, with part-time compensation prorated based on scheduled hours.
