Role Description

Lone Star Circle of Care is seeking a board-certified PMHNP who is passionate about working with the underserved population experiencing significant barriers to care. The ideal candidate will:

• Provide care both in person and virtually.
• Grow a practice where collaboration with patients determines the best course of treatment in an outpatient setting.
• Be mission-focused and passionate about improving access to quality mental healthcare.
• Thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Be willing and able to see patients ages 5 and up.
• Have two years of PMHNP experience.
• Be trauma-informed and competent in the provision of integrated behavioral healthcare.
• Work independently in a group setting while seeking support and consultation from colleagues.
• Possess extensive knowledge of DSM-5-TR and utilize initial interviews and screenings for diagnoses and care planning.
• Collaborate with patients and effectively communicate clinical impressions while assessing strengths, barriers, and psychosocial needs.
• Hold a current valid license to practice in the State of Texas.
• Interact and collaborate with community partners and emergency medical/psychiatric service providers to ensure patient safety if a patient needs a higher level of care.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation 1-2 times a year.
• Possess computer/technology skills to efficiently document within an electronic health record and conduct telemedicine visits, as well as communicate/meet with colleagues virtually.

Qualifications

• Board-certified PMHNP.
• Passionate about working with underserved populations.
• Comfortable providing care both in person and virtually.
• Two years of PMHNP experience.
• Trauma-informed and competent in integrated behavioral healthcare.
• Extensive knowledge of DSM-5-TR.
• Current valid license to practice in Texas.

Requirements

• Willingness to see patients ages 5 and up.
