This is a remote, 1099 independent contractor opportunity designed for physicians who want to leverage their clinical expertise outside of direct patient care while maintaining their current practice.

As a physician reviewer, you will provide independent, evidence-based clinical assessments of cases involving medical necessity, quality of care, and appropriateness of services.
What You'll Do

Conduct independent, remote clinical case reviews within your area of expertise

Evaluate medical necessity, appropriateness of care, quality of care, and standard of care

Review medical records and supporting clinical documentation
-
Apply established clinical guidelines, evidence-based standards, and professional judgment
-
Provide clear, well-supported written determinations
-
Support case types that may include utilization reviews, appeals, hearings, and quality or standard-of-care concerns
-
Maintain clinical neutrality, objectivity, and confidentiality throughout the review process
-
Complete assigned reviews within established turnaround times
What We're Looking For
-
Hold an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
-
Be Board Certified in their specialty by an ABMS or AOA-recognized board
-
Have a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience within their specialty
-
Be actively practicing and providing direct patient care an average of at least 20 hours per week
-
Demonstrate strong written communication and clinical documentation skills
-
Be comfortable independently evaluating complex medical records and providing evidence-based conclusions
-
Have the ability to meet established case turnaround deadlines
