[Hiring] Pediatric Triage Registered Nurse @American Addiction Centers

Role Description

This is a part-time position requiring 30 or 32 hours per week, with shifts available in either 8-hour or 10-hour formats. Candidates must be available to work every fourth weekend and holiday rotation.

• Uses the nursing process and established protocols to assess patient needs telephonically.
• Determines appropriate level of care, provides education, and establishes a plan of care.
• Collaborates with on-call providers when additional guidance is needed.
• Prioritizes patient interactions by acuity and need.
• Implements strategies to reduce patient risk and increase safety.
• Supports shared governance activities to improve processes and outcomes.
• Participates in quality/process improvement initiatives.
• Engages in professional development and attends required meetings/educational programs.
• Demonstrates effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Promotes a culture of safety and reports patient safety events.
• Applies ethical decision-making and collaborates with the patient care team.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific care and schedules appointments accordingly.
• Maintains and updates patient clinical records as per guidelines.
• Participates in team meetings and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
• Associate's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Nursing.
• Typically requires 2+ years of pediatric acute care experience, preferably within the last 4 years.
