[Hiring] Patient Support & Billing Specialist @Winning Assistants

Role Description

• Answer inbound and outbound patient calls, emails, and text messages.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm routine and urgent appointments.
• Assist patients with telehealth appointments and virtual care coordination.
• Update and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage.
• Process and submit medical claims.
• Follow up on claim status and basic billing concerns.
• Assist with medical coding and review records for billing accuracy.
• Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and administrative teams.
• Provide general medical administrative and provider support.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a medical or healthcare setting.
• Experience with patient calls, scheduling, and medical reception.
• Hands-on experience with insurance verification and claims processing.
• Experience with medical billing and/or medical coding.
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Comfortable learning proprietary EMR systems, including OrthoLive Proprietary EMR.
• Able to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Must speak and write English clearly and professionally.
• Must have relevant work experience.
• Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory).
• Must be available to attend video meetings with camera on when required.

• Internet: Stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps).
• Audio: Noise-canceling headset.
• Video: Working webcam for virtual meetings.
