Role Description

• Leads the discussion and collaborates with study specific functional area leads and solution partners to identify and evaluate fundamental issues pertaining to successful patient enrollment.
• Compile and interpret data to make sound and justifiable business decisions and ensure solutions are documented and agreed.
• Has in-depth knowledge of healthcare landscape and patient recruitment solutions for their country and region, and a strong understanding of global patient recruitment strategies.
• May support the development of mitigation strategies in support of senior team members.
• Leads the development, preparation, approval and distribution of integrated tactics relating to R&R Ops from sponsor contracting through to closure of R&R activities.
• Collaborates with study team to define and lead community outreach activities, including, but not limited to advocacy group liaison, attendance at local chapter events.
• Orchestrates operations of integrated solutions partners in scope including but not limited to setting meeting agendas, leading meetings, representing solutions when applicable to Project Lead and client, tracking and reporting progress, reporting risks and mitigations, identifying gaps and implementing efficiencies.
• Is a gatekeeper for quality control, accountable for the quality of work completed on studies which they oversee.
• Oversees translation of applicable patient recruitment and retention materials and tactics.
• Oversees printing, distribution, inventory management and destruction of patient recruitment and retention materials.
• Leads discussion with sponsor/internal teams around the performance of patient recruitment solutions, including suggestions for changes or adaptations, including collaborating with the Accelerate Clinical Enrollment (ACE) team, Internal/External Account Directors, and other cross-functional partners.
• Supports department resourcing by floating studies as needed or required.
• Acts as main point of contact (POC) for R&R Ops PM, communicating with client to provide timely project updates and project related fiscal information.
• Manage project within contracted direct/indirect budgets and timeline ensuring any out-of-scope activities are not initiated prior to being documented via budget update, communicated to the project management team and approved by the sponsor.
• Proactively identify the most appropriate solution partner for the study and indication and per protocol specifics.
• Ensures all project deliverables meet customer expectations including contracted deliverables, provision of accurate projections, reports and updates, together with ongoing risk assessment and proactive mitigation strategies.
• Leads conversations with internal teams and clients around new strategies to support enrollment.
• Contributes to departmental growth through internal and external business development opportunities.
• Serves as a mentor and/or provides project management oversight to more junior staff.
• Leads or participates in change initiatives across and within the Inclusion & Access Department.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in the biological sciences or related discipline in the natural sciences/health care field (e.g. RN).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database applications), email, and internet.
• Strong presentation skills, interpersonal skills, as well as a team-oriented approach.
• Excellent verbal, written, communication and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask under tight deadlines on several projects with specific and unique requirements, while providing attention to detail and high-quality work.
• Ability to be flexible, adapt to change, work independently, as well as work as part of a team in a matrix environment.
