[Hiring] Patient Authorization and Referral Representative - Authorization @Providence

Role Description

The Pre-Authorization Specialist completes accurately and timely all referrals and pre-authorizations for outpatient services provided by Providence Medical Group providers. Acts as a liaison between the primary provider, patients, specialists and health plans. Involves general guidance and direction by supervisor and authorization lead. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Position may require working evenings, holidays and weekends depending on hours of operation for all PMG outpatient clinic sites.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business, Billing, or Coding
• 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience using technology

Requirements

• Minimum and maximum wage rates posted for this position
• Placement on the wage range determined based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors
• Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities
