Role Description

The Patient Access Pre-Services Representative is responsible for pre-registering patients and clearing them financially for their upcoming outpatient procedures. This role includes:

• Verifying insurance information
• Creating patient estimates
• Collecting demographic information
• Reviewing prior balances
• Providing related financial counseling

Attention to detail is a must in order to protect patients' privacy. This role requires strong customer service skills to interact positively with patients, including the ability to deescalate situations.

This position works Monday - Friday from 9am - 5:30pm (Arizona Time).

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related healthcare insurance experience
• Self-motivated and dependable
• Excitement, energy, and engagement in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED is required
• 1-2 years of customer service and/or financial-related work experience
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, both verbally and written
• Clear understanding of the impact financial counseling has on Revenue Cycle operations
• Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in PC-based office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel)
• Dedication to treating both internal and external constituents as clients and customers
