[Hiring] Oncology Data Specialist @Northside Hospital Inc.

Role Description

The Oncology Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for the abstraction and integrity of data for several databases including, but not limited to:

• Society of Thoracic Surgery (STS)
• Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI)
• Lung Cancer Screening
• Other topic and/or disease-specific patient registries

This individual will ensure efficient and timely reporting for the oncology patient registries and serve as a resource for oncology program coordinators, administrators, physicians, and other hospital staff members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or health-related field, healthcare informatics, or equivalent experience related to collection and analysis of clinical data.
• Minimum two years experience in a healthcare setting with responsibilities including:
  • Medical record review
  • Data submission to clinical registries
  • Quality assurance and improvement
• Demonstrated experience in evaluating, refining, and improving clinical data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Requirements

• Advanced computer skills with spreadsheets and report writing.
• Knowledge of statistical concepts or experience with statistics.
• Database data entry and/or management experience.
• Quality improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience.
