Role Description

As an OBS coder with HCCS, you’ll be responsible for accurately coding outpatient observation encounters, mastering client systems, and consistently meeting productivity and quality standards.

• Assign coders to chart types and facilities that align with their experience
• Ensure support and setup for success

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of OBS facility production coding experience
• At least 6 months of recent OBS facility coding experience
• Active AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC-A and CCA not accepted or considered)
• CCS certification is preferred
• Ability to maintain minimum standards of productivity and accuracy

Requirements

• Full-time, remote positions
• Direct-hire, W-2 positions—not contract work or temporary projects
• All operations are U.S.-based; no outsourcing of coding services
