Role Description

Could you be our next Per Diem Nurse Practitioner with the Virtual Primary Care Program at Main Line Health?

As the Nurse Practitioner, you would:

• Perform acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents.
• Utilize independent judgment and decision-making as well as consultation and collaboration with other members of the health care team.
• Enhance the continuity of quality patient care.
• Amplify communication between the physician, family members, and the health care team.
• Extend the capabilities of the medical care team.
• Be responsible for after hour Primary Care patient calls and Telemedicine.
• Lead quality and evidence-based care initiatives to achieve optimal patient outcomes and improved patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two years Nurse Practitioner experience in a Primary Care or ambulatory setting is required.
• A minimum of two years nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
• Telemedicine experience preferred.
• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program required.
• MSN required.

Requirements

• Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
• BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications specific to specialty may be required or preferred. Refer to the specialty addendum.
• Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
• Completion of and Certification as a RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) to gain credentials for C-Sections. Certification must be within 1 year of employment.
