Role Description

As a Medical Writer / Medical Copywriter, you will develop scientific and medical marketing content across digital and print formats for diverse audiences including healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, pharmaceutical companies, and health and wellness brands. The role involves supporting the development of accurate, compliant, and engaging content aligned with scientific evidence and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, summarize, and interpret medical, promotional, and technical documents such as clinical studies, product monographs, and publications under guidance from senior team members.
• Ensure content consistency by following established editorial standards, regulatory requirements, and medical guidelines.
• Work closely with senior copywriters, medical writers, editors, and subject matter experts to develop content.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of assigned tasks.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to strengthen knowledge of industry practices and regulations.

Day-to-Day Deliverables

• Assist in drafting medical marketing content, scientific manuscripts, literature reviews, research summaries, abstracts, and posters.
• Ensure accurate referencing and compliance with journal and MLR approval guidelines.
• Format, organize, and edit research content for clarity and consistency.
• Proofread creative materials and verify scientific accuracy of content.
• Support senior writers by interpreting project briefs and aligning content accordingly.
• Apply AMA Style Guide standards across all deliverables.
• Annotate documents with relevant references and manage tagging, linking, and metadata using tools such as Veeva.
• Address reviewer comments within content management systems.
• Stay updated on medical writing standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• MSc / M Pharm / Pharm D / MBBS / MDS / PhD or equivalent qualification in life sciences or healthcare.
• 2–5 years of experience in medical writing, medical communications, or related scientific content roles.
