Role Description
The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical expertise to clients and internal teams while leading strategy and developing medical content. This is a critical role that will ensure the medical integrity, topicality, and timeliness of the content for client projects and help ensure compliance across Medical and Legal.

Provide medical strategic guidance and leadership on assigned accounts and discuss strategic recommendations with the client.

Build working relationships with key client marketing and medical personnel.

Manage and mentor junior writers supporting assigned accounts.

Own medical writing activities for multiple projects; developing clinical document strategy with minimal direction while working cross-functionally and with a high level of independence.

Ensure high-quality execution with regard to scientific content, organization, clarity, accuracy, format consistency, and adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines, styles, and processes.

Contribute to new business pitch content and strategies.

Remain up-to-date with the medical literature relevant to the client's brands.
Qualifications

6+ years of relevant experience developing clinical content in pharmaceutical advertising, medical education, or similar field in a client-facing medical lead role.

Good written and interpersonal skills.

Able to effectively interact with clients and healthcare professionals and provide independent medical direction.

Strong mentoring skills.

Advanced degree (MD, MS, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent).
