Role Description

The Health Actuarial Consultant-Medicaid will provide oversight of actuarial work on client projects including:

• Review of data models, assumptions, and analysis involved in the development of actuarially sound rates
• Assessment of financial performance

This role will collaborate with colleagues on team-based assignments ranging from:

• Small, time-limited projects
• Larger client projects with an extended timeline

In addition, the Health Actuarial Consultant – Medicaid will:

• Provide guidance to junior colleagues to complete project tasks
• Offer ongoing coaching and development
• Consult with stakeholders on healthcare policies, data, and rates

This opportunity has flexibility to work from a remote home office.

Qualifications

• Expertise related to managed care, Medicaid, and capitated rate development
• Thorough understanding of general health care concepts and government healthcare
• Working knowledge of MS Office Tools including VLOOKUP, INDEX and MATCH
• ASA or FSA Designation
• Bachelor’s degree
