[Hiring] Intern, Non-Clinical Safety @Praxis Precision Medicines, Inc.

Role Description

This position may be performed remotely but requires the flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.

Praxis is seeking an undergraduate intern to join our Non-Clinical Safety team, working part-time during the academic year and full-time during summer break(s). This role provides hands-on experience supporting the non-clinical development of medicines for CNS disorders, with exposure to drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK), toxicology, and the broader drug development process.

You’ll apply what you’re learning in the classroom to meaningful work:

• Organizing and improving how study information is managed.
• Building tools that help the team track progress.
• Contributing to continuous improvement projects.

This is an opportunity to build practical industry experience while taking real ownership of work that supports the Non-Clinical team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a bachelor’s degree program in life sciences or a related field.
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail, particularly when organizing and documenting scientific information.
• Comfortable working with databases and/or spreadsheets; proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, and experience with Smartsheet is preferred.
• Able to organize and prioritize work, stay focused, and independently move assigned projects forward while knowing when to ask for help.
• Curious and motivated to learn about non-clinical development and the pharmaceutical industry.
• Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different scientific and functional areas.
• Laboratory experience is preferred, particularly exposure to in vitro Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics work.
