Role Description

This position provides clinical and clerical support within the Imaging department. Responsibilities include:

• Managing patient flow
• Conducting patient screening
• Assisting patients during procedures
• Maintaining supplies
• Supporting technologists as needed
• Remote cardiac monitoring for patients undergoing MRI when they are off nursing units

Responsibilities

• Patient Interaction & Prep
  • Transports Patient
  • Verify patient identity using two identifiers
  • Complete and document pre-procedure screening (e.g., contrast consent)
  • Educate patients about the procedure
  • Communicate readiness to remote technologist
• Physical Setup
  • Position the patient correctly on the scanner table
  • Prepare positioning aids
  • Loads contrast injector
• Contrast Administration
  • Monitor for adverse reactions and initiate emergency response if needed
• Emergency Readiness
  • Initiate BLS protocols if required
  • Escalate to on-site technologists, physician or EMS per facility protocol
• Communication
  • Maintain continuous two-way communication with the remote technologist during the scan

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Work Experience: No experience required
• Licenses and Certifications: BLS Certification required
• Recent experience in cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation preferred
