Role Description

The Department of Homeless Services & Housing (HSH) is conducting a search for a Health Program Manager III, Support Services (UC). This position is an unclassified, at-will executive role reporting to the Chief Program Officer within HSH.

• Leads the Support Services Branch.
• Oversees the planning, administration, and evaluation of Countywide programs focused on:
  • Homelessness prevention
  • Income stabilization
  • Supportive services for vulnerable populations
• Programs include:
  • Countywide Benefits Entitlement Services Team (CBEST)
  • In-Home Caregiving (IHCG) Program
  • Homeless Prevention Unit (HPU)
• Plays a critical systemwide role in coordinating supportive services across Los Angeles County.
• Aligns resources across:
  • Homelessness prevention
  • Outreach
  • Interim housing
  • Intensive case management
  • Permanent housing
  • HSH’s clinical services
• Ensures timely, accessible, and coordinated support for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
• Exercises significant administrative and policy discretion in:
  • Directing programs
  • Coordinating cross-departmental initiatives
  • Managing community-based contracts
  • Ensuring compliance with County, State, and federal requirements
• Accountable for program performance, equitable service delivery, and alignment with departmental priorities.
