Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Health Information Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health information management and a passion for improving patient care through accurate and efficient record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze patient records for accuracy and completeness
• Enter and update patient information into electronic health record systems
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to health information management
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient records
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely record-keeping
• Assist with audits and quality assurance processes
• Provide support and training to staff on proper record-keeping procedures
• Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices in health information management

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in health information management or medical records
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws and regulations
