[Hiring] GP Nurse @Boots

Role Description

We're looking for a Nurse with GP experience, not with care home or hospital experience, to come and join our Digital Health for Boots Online Doctor. (Please note, this role is for a nurse without prescribing rights)

• Use our secure IT platform for all patient interactions.
• Respond to patient queries via our online message centre, primarily focusing on Weight Loss initially.
• Follow our guidelines to assist with message content, ensuring correct and suitable advice is given to patients.
• Assist customers with suitable treatment options once trained.
• Conduct telephone or video consultations when needed.
• Use our internal communications system (Slack) to stay connected with the team throughout the working day.
• Attend training events and participate in clinical meetings.
• Maintain your own skills and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach.
• Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a digital or telehealth environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• A commitment to continuous professional development.

Requirements

• Registration with NMC (RN - adult).
• Experience in a range of areas commonly seen in primary care; such as dermatology, sexual health, travel, women’s health, men’s health, UTI and weight loss amongst others.
• You will be a confident practitioner, with a wide scope of practice.
• You will be aware of your own limitations and of relevant national guidelines.
• You will have experience of consulting with patients and making independent decisions.
• You will be able to make decisions promptly and know when to ask for help.
• You will have a can-do attitude and be committed to always improving our services.
• You will be a flexible team player who can thrive in our start-up mentality.
