Role Description

Labcorp is seeking a US Remote Based Genetic Counselor to join our team to support a busy Maternal Fetal Medicine Practice in New York City.

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm eastern time zone

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide virtual prenatal genetic counseling services for MFM practice in New York
• Have the opportunity to provide direct patient care for a wide variety of complex indications from an extensive referral base
• Engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications, physician education, and other projects
• Access the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues
• Participate in educational and research initiatives within Labcorp

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling
• American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification

Requirements

• 2 years or more experience as a certified Genetic Counselor (preferred)
• 1 year or more experience of prenatal or reproductive Genetic Counseling (preferred)
• Genetic Counselor license in state of residence (if applicable)
• Highly organized, including excellent time management skills
• Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office
