Role Description
As Founding CMO, you will set the clinical standard for everything we do - from protocol development and lab interpretation to patient safety, regulatory posture, and physician oversight of AI-driven outputs - and you'll help build the business itself. This is a dual mandate: own clinical quality and credibility, and act as a commercial force multiplier, shaping growth strategy, partnerships, and the company's external voice.
You'll work directly with the CEO and product team to translate cutting-edge longevity and functional health science into scalable, defensible clinical workflows - and to turn that clinical edge into a durable commercial advantage.
This role is for a physician who thinks like a builder and an operator. Excited about what AI can do for medicine, deeply skeptical of hype, relentless about getting the evidence right, and energized by the work of growing a company.
What You'll Do
-
Clinical leadership
-
Co-develop and own our clinical protocol framework - biomarker panels, care pathways, and optimization areas (you'll shape this from the ground up)
-
Conduct member-facing clinical sessions - consultations, results reviews, and ongoing optimization check-ins
-
Review and sign off on AI-generated health reports, maintaining final clinical accountability for all member-facing content
-
Build and enforce clinical safety, consent, and escalation frameworks
-
Serve as medical reviewer for edge cases, abnormal findings, and high-risk members
-
Hire and manage contracted physicians and NPs as the clinical team scales
-
Business development & growth
-
Partner with the CEO on commercial strategy - pricing, packaging, and how we position clinical quality as a market differentiator
-
Source and structure partnerships across the ecosystem: labs, imaging providers, diagnostics, employers, and channel partners
-
Serve as a credible clinical voice in fundraising, investor conversations, and key account discussions
-
Represent Anomaly externally - speaking, content, and presence within the longevity and preventive care communities - to drive awareness and demand
-
Build and activate a referral and clinical network that fuels member growth
-
Contribute to product strategy at the intersection of clinical evidence, commercial viability, and member experience
Qualifications
-
MD license

-
Deep fluency in longevity biomarkers: advanced lipids, metabolomics, hormonal panels, inflammatory markers, CGM, and genomics
-
Prior experience in a startup, digital health company, or concierge/direct-care practice
-
Demonstrated business or commercial instinct - you've helped build a practice, line of business, or company, not just delivered care within one

Comfort with AI-assisted clinical tools and a clear-eyed view of their limitations
-
Entrepreneurial mindset - you see gaps and build systems to fill them
