Role Description

We are seeking an experienced, board-certified physician to join our team as a Disability Associate Medical Director in a part-time, independent contractor capacity. This role will provide clinical leadership and oversight in support of our Disability review programs, with a focus on:

• Physician reviewer performance
• Quality assurance
• Clinical guidance
• Continuous process improvement

The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in Disability reviews, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.

Status: Part-time, independent contractor

Time Commitment: Approximately 40 hours per month

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification
• Active, unrestricted medical license
• Prior Disability experience with a carrier, TPA, and/or independent review organization (IRO)
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to evaluate the quality, consistency, and defensibility of physician determinations and rationales
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide effective physician feedback and participate in client-facing discussions
• Ability to work independently and respond promptly to time-sensitive clinical or quality escalations

• Schedule is flexible, with availability needed for periodic client meetings, reviewer audits, quality activities, and time-sensitive clinical escalations
