We are looking for a dynamic individual to build and manage a patient support program (PSP) to support the launch activities of uniQure’s commercial pipeline of products. This individual will report directly to the Vice President of Patient Services and Distribution and will be responsible for all aspects of the program. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in designing, implementing and managing patient support programs in the rare disease, gene therapy space.

• Design, implement and manage the entire patient support program for uniQure’s pipeline of products.
• Develop a patient centered model including case management, patient education, financial support, care coordination, and ongoing engagement.
• Hire, train and directly manage a team of case managers that will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the patient support services program.
• Create all necessary PSP support materials in collaboration with Marketing and Account Management team members.
• Develop and monitor strategic KPIs to ensure continuous improvement of service over the product’s lifecycle.
• Champion a culture of compliance by working closely with uniQure’s Legal and Compliance team members to ensure all service offerings and PSP activities meet applicable laws and industry standards.
• Collaborate with other members of uniQure’s Market Access team as well as other cross-functional team members (Legal, Finance, Medical, IT).
• Partner closely with IT to align on architecture, cyber security, and compliance on selection and management of the patient services (CRM) platform.
• Oversee budgeting and financial planning for all patient services functions.
• Lead relationships with all PSP strategic business partners.
• Proactively monitor market trends, policy changes, and other rare disease and gene therapy patient support programs to inform potential changes to our PSP strategy.
• Attend all pertinent industry conferences and symposiums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred (MBA, Pharm D, MPH, MHA).
• 10+ years in pharmaceutical / biotechnology. Preferred experience in rare disease / gene therapy.
• 5+ years of relevant patient support experience. Previous case manager / field reimbursement experience preferred.
• Launch experience within patient services area, including patient services launch planning and execution and continuous life cycle management.
• Direct supervisory experience with a proven track record of leading teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort level with senior management presentations.
• Willingness to travel as needed (~25%).

Requirements

• Salary Range: $206,000 - $265,000
• The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant, relevant years of experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from where they will be performing the job.
• The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
