Role Description

The Director, Clinical Research of URO is a strategic leader within the Clinical Research leadership team, reporting directly to the Global VP, Clinical Research. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the clinical strategy across the URO portfolio, ensuring alignment with global regulatory trends, market access priorities, and innovation goals.

• Lead evidence generation strategies for product development, regulatory approval, and reimbursement.
• Serve as a clinical thought leader, translating complex global insights into actionable strategies.
• Support partnership and business development opportunities.
• Contribute to the integration of acquired businesses within the Olympus framework.
• Establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate across MSA, URO business unit, and the broader Olympus organization.

Qualifications

• BS degree in life sciences or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years medical device industry experience, preferably in Clinical Research or Medical Affairs within biotech industry.
• Deep expertise in designing and executing global clinical evidence generation programs.
• Ability to think strategically and critically analyze complex data.
• Strong consulting, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Experience working in a global cross-functional team environment.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities focused on hiring and retaining a diverse team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work across global time zones.
• Domestic and international travel up to 20%.

Requirements

• MA/MS or PhD degree in life sciences or related field (preferred).
• Urology (BPH, stone management) experience (preferred).
